Inspired by my own experiences, this mockumentary gives an insight into the lives of four disastrous door to door charity fundraisers. Following orders from the office, the team roam the streets of Belfast and beyond, knocking on doors and attempting to coerce strangers into giving money to charity. The only trouble is, they are absolutely reprehensible individuals, and even more so when they all get together. Keeping their jobs by the skin of their teeth, they do the bare minimum and spend their shifts causing havoc and having bizarre adventures in the different neighbourhoods of Northern Ireland.
The series follows these four scoundrels as they move through middle class new builds, council houses, bungalows, tower blocks, and even country farms – meeting people of all walks of life along the way. We also get an insight into how they deal with their superiors, as well as how they “get along” with the rival teams at work events. Despite being there to do a job, they invariably end up entangled in the lives of different homeowners, as well as getting up to their own shenanigans, of course. Slowly building their relationships within the team and blocking themselves off from the rest of the world, the group become unlikely friends. Under constant pressure from head office and their seemingly virtuous rivals, the team will do just about anything to get ahead - except their actual jobs.
